About us...
The Farmers’ Bar is the delightful, historic, award winning pub run by the Chiltern Brewery in the charming King’s Head at the top of the Market Square in Aylesbury. As the oldest courtyarded coaching inn in Britain it is steeped in history. Originally mentioned in a conveyance of 1455, it has provided food and shelter for Henry VI and VIII and Oliver Cromwell before being acquired by the Rothschild’s as a hotel and bar in the 1800’s.
Being a direct outlet for the Chiltern Brewery, the quality of the food, service and drink on offer is an absolute priority. The aim is to match the bill of fare to the magnificent quality of the surroundings by offering classic dishes using the brewery’s fine English ales and many locally sourced products.
